At the Blitskikkers, fun in sailing and learning in a playful way are central, for the first time on your own sailing holiday with peers! Safety, learning and of course a lot of fun are our top priorities. Our specially designed programs are focused on the unique needs and interests of children between the ages of 6 and 9, offering a great combination of playful sailing lessons and educational experiences on the water. This way your sailing camp in Friesland becomes a fantastic first summer camp experience!

By using CE approved and new material, the right sailing clothing, calm water and an instructor close by, we keep our sailing camps safe at all times.
Playful learning to sail.
We believe in a teaching method where fun and creating confidence on the water are paramount. That is why we alternate lessons with games and other activities to create the perfect. This way we put together the perfect youth sailing camp.
More than an instructor.
In addition to sailing, our staff members provide 24/7 guidance for your child, where their place in the group and personal hygiene are central.
Communication.
We provide daily photo and video updates. We are available 24/7 for questions.
Food & Beverage.
Every day we provide freshly prepared and varied meals. Especially for the little ones, we make sure they get enough by serving their portions separately. We take into account all diets and allergies at no extra cost.
Program and activities.
In addition to sailing, we have great afternoon games, energetic evening programs and external activities, tailored to the age and needs of the group.
At Zeilschool De Kikkert we believe in learning to sail in a playful way. We emphasize building confidence on the water, with instructors playing a supportive role to ensure that every child feels comfortable on the water.
With us, instructors are not only teachers; they also act as guides and buddies for your children. Our dedicated staff members help keep the bedrooms clean, make sure the children shower daily and help them sort and put on clean clothes if necessary. They make sure that there is enough sleep and food, because the little ones sometimes need a little help with this. Together we ensure the most fun week of the year!
A day in the age group 6-9 years.
A day at the Blitskikkers, our youngest sailors from 6-9 years old, starts with enjoying a fresh breakfast with the whole group. After breakfast it is time to change clothes and pack your sailing gear. Don't worry: the instructor will remind you of everything you need to bring and make sure it goes on the water. Together with your own group and instructor you will then go out on the lake, where you will learn to sail in a playful way in the morning. This way you will gradually become familiar with your own boat.
After a morning full of sailing fun, we also do some fun sailing lessons in the afternoon. When the concentration and energy decrease in the afternoon, we stop sailing and end the afternoon with a cool game! After this active afternoon, a tasty and healthy dinner is waiting for you. The day ends with a special evening program full of fun activities and dress-up parties, before it's time to go to bed. Your room coach will make sure you are refreshed and put to bed, so that you are rested for the next day full of new experiences at Zeilschool De Kikkert.

If you are new, the Optimist offers an ideal solo sailing experience, while the Laerling is suitable for duo adventures.
