The Opkikkers! Here you are on the eve of an adventure full of challenges and freedom, completely tailored to your need for action and independence. In this crazy sailing week we combine water action with relaxed moments ashore, so that you not only make friends for life, but also share fantastic memories. What makes this sailing camp extra cool is that we leave plenty of room for your own input in the program for your group. After all, it must really feel like your youth holiday!
More than sailing.
We not only teach you how to sail really well, but we also make sure you have the best time on shore.
Real holiday.
Together we keep it tidy, but otherwise you don't have to do any chores. We take care of everything, from food to cleaning. Then you have time to chill.
Working towards a diploma.
The lessons are aimed at challenging you and working towards the next CWO diploma.
The instructorship.
We also use the boats you sail in this age group for the instructor training.
Communication.
We provide daily photo and video updates. We are available 24/7 for questions.
Food & Beverage.
Every day we provide freshly prepared and varied meals. We also take into account all diets and allergies at no extra cost.
At the Opkikkers you get the chance to get your first lessons in the adult boats, which allows you to take the step towards the instructorship. Here you will get to know new skills such as sailing with the gennaker, trapeze or making a long trip through the beautiful Friesland. And as if that wasn't enough, we also have cool external activities in store for you! Think of a smashing party in discotheque Ald Wall in Heeg, or how about a spectacular banana experience behind our fast boat? It will not only be a great sailing holiday, but also an unforgettable adventure full of fun and new experiences! ⛵🌊🎉
A day in 14-16 at the kikkert.
At the Opkikkers your day starts with a kickstart: a healthy breakfast with fresh bread rolls from Bakkerij Breimer from Lemmer, yogurt, fruit and as an extra treat warm snacks such as croissants or kaiser rolls. This gives you the energy to start a morning full of challenging lessons with enthusiasm, all tailored to your level.
Together with your mates and instructor you go out on the water to defy the wind and sail firmly. After an intensive morning, a tasty lunch awaits you, with which the shore team also surprises you with warm snacks such as spring rolls or bapao sandwiches. It is the perfect pick-me-up to start the afternoon block again full of energy, in which you continue to work on expanding your sailing skills.
Back ashore, a warm shower awaits you and you have some free time to chill out with your friends. Then you join for a delicious Mexican dinner, specially prepared by our top team. While we clean up, you have some time for yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Yes, definitely! You can call your child during calling hours between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. If they are not available, we will schedule another time. Remember that 'no news is good news' Although it is nice to call, too much contact can worsen homesickness. Make agreements at home about the time to call, for example mid-week. This way your child does not expect a call every day.
